Magnetek to Exhibit Latest Elevator Drives at Liftex 2016
MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. ─ April 14, 2016 ─ Magnetek, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of elevator drives, will be exhibiting its latest elevator drives and accessories, including the HPV® 900 AF, Quattro® AC Cube Elevator Drive, and their Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) modules, at stand A50 at Liftex 2016, being held in London, England, at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre May 25-26. While visiting the Company’s stand, exhibitors will also be able to calculate their potential energy savings with Magnetek’s Energy Calculator.
“We are excited to bring Magnetek’s new elevator drive solutions to Liftex 2016,” said Brian Preston, general manager of Magnetek’s United Kingdom operations. “With nearly 40 years as the preeminent independent drive supplier to the world, Magnetek has the product and application expertise to offer customers the most advanced, high quality and reliable elevator drive solutions available.”
Designed with modernization in mind, the HPV 900 AF drive uses patented technology to power today’s machine room-less (MRL) axial flux disc type motors. Its permanent magnet synchronous axial flux control capability provides plug-and-play installation and delivers optimal performance. Setup is easy through the integrated digital operator, similar to other Magnetek elevator drives.
The Quattro AC Cube clean power drive is designed to meet today’s growing need for green building solutions. This innovative drive comes in an evolutionary new compact design that takes up less than one-third of the space of the standard Quattro AC drive and includes integrated regeneration, near unity power factor, and less than eight percent total harmonic current distortion.
Magnetek’s new Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) range provides a means of operating an elevator in power loss situations. The range of UPS solutions can be interfaced to any control system and can be configured to provide status alerts via physical outputs or a serial interface. UPS size selection is easy using the new UPS Sizing Calculator.
Along with the products displayed at Liftex 2016, Magnetek offers a full line of elevator drives, including the Quattro DC®. The Quattro DC drive consumes the lowest energy possible, saving as much as 25% over DC-SCR drives and as much as 45% over Motor Generator (MG) sets. Quattro DC’s clean utility side drive harmonics mean reduced heating and better utilization of existing distribution line equipment, plus prevention of interference with other user apparatus.
