Magnetek to Exhibit its New Quattro AC and HPV900 Series 2 Drives at the National Association of Elevator Contractors Conference
MENOMONEE FALLS, Wis. - September 9, 2011 - Magnetek, Inc. will be exhibiting at the National Association of Elevator Contractors 62nd Annual Conference and Exhibition (NAEC) at the Hilton Riverside and Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, La. September 14-15.
On display will be both the new Quattro® AC elevator drive and the HPV® 900 Series 2 AC elevator drive.
Like Magnetek’s proven Quattro DC elevator drive, the new Quattro AC operates permanent magnet (PM) motors while consuming the lowest energy possible through regenerative technology. High-rise building owners often qualify for utility energy rebates when installing Quattro. The boost function in Quattro reduces the need for input transformers contributing to Quattro’s lower installation costs. Superior ride quality is another key benefit of the Quattro line of energy saving drives.
Magnetek’s HPV 900 Series 2 elevator drive operates both induction and PM motors with a standard incremental encoder. An Endat encoder with drive option card provides an additional PM application option. Designed for both new installations as well as modernization projects, the HPV900 Series 2 provides advanced closed-loop vector control and the fastest, easiest set-up adjustment; fewest callbacks; and the lowest total lifetime cost. The HPV 900 Series 2 offers high performance, high overload capacity and long-life reliability.
A team from Magnetek will be on hand in booth 910 at NAEC to discuss the benefits of the Quattro AC and DC, and the HPV900 Series 2. Magnetek Principal Engineer, Don Vollrath, will also be presenting “AC Induction and Permanent Magnet Motors” during the education sessions on September 14.
